THE INTERCEPT: FORMER USDA INSPECTORS CONFIRM DXE’S NORBEST INVESTIGATION RESULTS

A powerful story of two former USDA inspectors who suffered serious health problems while working at a Norbest slaughterhouse in Utah. Both believe their health problems were due to exposure to chemicals including, as Politico wrote, “peracetic acid — an antimicrobial wash used to eliminate pathogens — that caused them and other inspectors headaches, nausea, respiratory problems, bloody noses and in some cases, lung damage.” Deep in the story, the two confirm that DxE’s findings of injured, sick birds and filthy conditions at Norbest farms are accurate. The story was reprinted at foodwhistleblower.org
